My child is 18 months old, can we use Slothy?

No. In accordance with pediatric recommendations, the use of pillows is prohibited for ages 0-18 months (preferably 0-2 years). During this period, a pillow increases the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and can obstruct the airway. Your child can transition to Slothy no earlier than age 2 and once they begin placing their arm under their head. If there are any health concerns, please be sure to consult your pediatrician.

Is a height of 4cm enough for my child? It should be higher, shouldn't it?

4cm is the scientifically calculated ideal height for the shoulder width and head-to-body ratio of children aged 2-4. Its purpose is not to raise the head, but merely to gently support the neck cavity. Higher pillows can push the child's head forward, pressing the chin against the chest and narrowing the airway. For proper spinal development, the head must remain aligned with the spine.

Can children with a latex allergy use it?

Latex allergy is rare and is usually caused by repeated glove use in healthcare workers. However, if your child has a known or suspected latex allergy, be sure to consult a pediatrician or allergist before using Slothy. For those with a dust mite allergy, natural latex is the safest material.

How should I clean the pillow?

Slothy's washable cover should be removed and machine-washed regularly (once a week or every two weeks). The natural latex block is not suitable for machine washing. Simply wiping it with a damp cloth and drying it in the shade is sufficient. Natural latex should not be exposed to direct sunlight (UV) as this can deteriorate the material structure. The natural properties of latex prevent bacterial growth, so regular washing of the cover is sufficient for hygiene.

Until what age can Slothy be used?

Slothy is designed for ages 2-4, but it can be used comfortably up to age 6 if your child's shoulder width has not increased significantly yet. After 5-6 years of age, your child's sleeping position becomes more defined and shoulder width increases. During this period, you may need to switch to a higher pillow (6-8cm) for side sleeping. If your child's head drops down while side sleeping or their shoulders feel compressed, it is time to increase the pillow height.
