The Slothy Kids Pillow is designed for ages 6 and up, as shoulder width increases significantly at this age. However, every child develops differently. Have your child lie on their side: If there is a noticeable gap between their ear and shoulder, and their head dips down with their current pillow, you can make the transition even at age 5. Otherwise, the Slothy Baby Pillow (4cm) or an intermediate solution (6-7cm) might be more suitable.

Although it may seem high on paper at 10cm, the Slothy Kids Pillow has a "soft latex" character. When your child lies on it, it naturally compresses to 6.5-7cm. This is the ideal height for the shoulder width of children over 6 years old. On firm pillows, 10cm would be truly high, but the point elasticity of latex allows the head to sink in gently while continuing to support the neck. There is no risk of suffocation.

Purotex is a probiotic (friendly bacteria) technology integrated into the pillowcase. As your child turns and moves on the pillow, these microorganisms are activated and neutralize dust mites naturally. It is not a chemical treatment, so it is 100% safe for children's health. It retains its effectiveness even in washes up to 40°C. It minimizes nighttime coughing and nasal congestion for children with asthma and allergies.

Tencel is a natural fiber produced sustainably from eucalyptus trees. It has a 50% higher moisture absorption capacity than cotton. This prevents your child from sweating throughout the night: it absorbs sweat and quickly releases it into the air. It also has a silky softness, is ideal for sensitive skin, and minimizes the risk of bacterial growth. Cotton is natural, but Tencel is the next level in moisture management.

The Tencel-Purotex cover of the Slothy Kids Pillow is removable and machine washable at 40°C. It is recommended to wash it once a week or every two weeks. The latex inner filling, however, is not suitable for machine washing. Simply wipe it with a damp cloth and let it air dry in the shade. Natural latex should not be exposed directly to sunlight (UV). The probiotic Purotex technology retains its effectiveness even after washing, so don't worry.
